Among the historical places to visit in Milot are the ruins of the Sans Souci Palace. Built in the early 1800’s for ruler Henri Christophe, Sans Souci Palace is currently in ruins as a result of and earthquake in 1842, and has never been reconstructed.  As you can see in these photos by photographers Patti Gabriel and Nathan MacFarland, Sans Souci Palace is a beautiful structure even in its destructed state.
