I could have chosen to letter the name of one of the many beautiful cities I'm lucky to have visited but I've decided to show some love to my hometown. Throwback to this window I had painted last year, just before taking off to Asia. @legrenierbaravins kindly trusted me for a second time and I was happy to take the challenge. At this time, it was the most complex and largest design I had worked on. This window was 2.20 x 4.40 m and took about 5 days to complete (excluding design and preparation). I had first drawn the design on a big piece of paper. On site, this sheet was taped outside the window and I drew it reversed from the inside. 🧘‍♀️ This is a reminder to take things more lightly and always return to the present moment in case of feeling overwhelmed, particularly in these times of self-questioning, dealing with such an overload of information while living in sweat pants most of the time. ✦ This floral pattern was from a paper drawing from a year ago. After removing the original lettering which I wasn't very fond of, I wanted to experiment and add a bit of digital colors. I still hear the tropical birds and bugs rejoicing over the silence of the morning hours, drunk of the frangipani flowers' smell. 🌸🐦🐛 ⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀ Thank you again Robert for the warm welcome in your little piece of heaven.
