"A school needs to be a place for all children, not based on the idea that they are all the same, but that they are all different." -Loris Malaguzzi (founder of the first Reggio Emilia School) - sand on light table
End of the year hallway display. "Leaving Shadows of Preschool Behind." stand the kids in front of a light and traced their reflections on black banner paper to make full body silhouettes. I want to do this with my Fifth graders at the end of the year.
"What a great way to explore light and shadow in a confined space. The way the objects have been placed on reflective surfaces as well as glass and the use of CDs with their hollow centre creates an awesome aesthetic sure to provoke anyone's curiosity"
