Type A roundel essentially same roundel or cockade that has come down through history,with variations,since WWI.Can be found on RAF home page today with minor changes to proportions 1st delineated long before WWII,or even formation of RAF.Today RAF roundel called Type D.Modern Type D diameter ratio of 1:2:3 for red,white & blue circles,whereas WWII Type A as seen above,had ratio of 1:3:5.
