List of emotions and feelings. Great for counseling

On the rare occasion, I have used a feeling chart in counselling to help me identify how I'm feeling. Originally I thought it was a stupid idea especially when some of the feeling charts show carto.

Positive Emotions List - Add these to your vocabulary. Studies show that to expereince an emotion, that emotional word must be in our ready available vocabulary. Read this list and make even longer one for yourself. Study it and memorize it to give yourself a greater possibility of experiencing that emotion!!!

Positive Emotions List - How well are you using POSITIVE emotionally driven words to communicate?

Change this to "How do you think the character feels?" and hang in story corner to facilitate discussions. Might help students elaborate a little on the "good", "bad" and "sad" answers that sometimes lean on. At the bottom, add a "why do you think that" or a "how do you know" to help with inferencing.

Feeling faces are great for little ones that have a hard time finding the right word to describe their emotions. It works great with a feeling journal to help them learn what the feeling is and what the facial features might be in each situation.
