Pictured is the first Battle of Panipat which took place on April 21, 1526. This battle led to the end of the Lodi dynasty. The Sultan that ruled during the battle was Ibrahim Lodhi. Though Lodhi had the larger army and war elephants, he was unable to control them. His inability to control his army worked against his own army. This battle was the first of many battles in India at Panipat.
