"Kevin Carter’s Pulitzer Prize winning photo taken in 1994 during the Sudan famine. The picture depicts a famine stricken child being stalked by a vulture. The child is crawling towards a United Nations food camp, located a kilometer away.

Kevin Carter was a war photojournalist who took some of the most shocking and eye opening photographs from the violent struggles in the Sudan. If you are unaware of him I suggest you watch the movie "The Bang Bang Club".

In South African photojournalist Kevin Carter won the Pulitzer prize for his disturbing photograph of a Sudanese child being stalked by a vulture. That same year, Kevin Carter committed suicide.
