•LCH of the Liver• When LCH affects the liver, it can be deadly. This is what's referred to as "high risk organ involvement". The cells attack the liver causing scarring (sclerosis/fibrosis). This can lead to strictures (narrowing) in the bile ducts, which in turn slows the flow of bile through the liver. Slowing the bile can cause stones to develop, blocking bile flow entirely.
