While I stitched this piece, I found myself dreaming of reds, blues, purples .... a collection of colors stitched across the sky, like the sunset outside my kitchen window. It is made from recycled wool sweaters, which I wash in hot water until they shrink to a tight wool felt. It is embellished with wool stitching and antique buttons, and it has a silk border.
