I made this IKEA hack because the VIKARE guard rail is too low to use in a kid bed with a little thicker mattress. It was super easy and so much cheaper than buying it from another store. I call it, “ARVID”, named after my son who easily fall down from the bed without a guard rail. DIY railing guard made from lightweight MDF and hung with zip ties - this would look much better than the lattice and would be cheaper, too Woodworking Guide, Woodworking Projects Plans, Custom Woodworking, Woodworking Designs, Loft Railing, Stair Railing, Railings, Stairs, Frosted Glass Spray

cushioned hand rails | DIY half-door baby gateYou might remember a while back when I shared some stylish ways to babyproof your house and, more specifically, your stair railings. That's what led me to create a railing guard from poster-sized sheets of plexiglass that I purchased at Hobby Lobby for $6 each, some frosted glass spray and some clear zip ties.
