Kammavaca Manuscript - Their Covers and Binding Ribbons
The palm leaf and paper manuscripts of Myanmar (formerly Burma), the Kammavaca (monastic ceremony and higher ordination text) is by far the most ornate in appearance, gleaming with gold, silver and occasionally with mother of pearl inlay. It attracts the eye with its extravagant decoration and the curious blank script is found nowhere else.
