North end of duck pen

This picture gives a pretty good overall view of our duck pen. It's 12 feet wide, 25' long, 8' high at the peak. Todd has moved the duck house to the NW corner and put a path of pavers so that the humans don't slip on mud (or worse) when collecting eggs. This picture shows just over half of the pen area. The south end is mainly grass, a door, and another small pond in the SE corner. You can also see the shade cloth on the east & top of the pen (north end only). This helps immensely during our hot summer months. They would bake otherwise. We also have a heavy (but clear) plastic tarp under the shade cloth so that they don't have to be in the rain if they don't want to be. If they want to play in the rain, they just move to the south end of the pen (which they often do). At the time this was taken, Daisy was sitting on her nest and Eddie & Dewey were floating on the pond. (I stand corrected: Eddie was floating, Dewey was diving!)
