Equality in education is important, but equity is arguabley equally as important. Giving everyone the same tools might seem fair and "equal" but in reality students require different accomodations in order tobe on an equal playing field as their peers. Equity requires providing support tailored to the specific needs of students. Equity education provide all students with the high-quality instruction and support they need to reach and exceed a common standard.
