Salted browned butter maple supreme croissants : flaky, buttery, sweet & salty deliciousness.

Ingredients: 
— 1 package puff pastry 
— 1 egg & splash of milk for egg wash 

Whipped filling:
— 1 pint heavy whipping cream 
— 1/2 cup maple syrup 
— 1 tsp vanilla 

Maple glaze: 
— 3 1/2 tbs browned butter 
— 2 1/2 cups powdered sugar 
— 2 tbs maple syrup 
— 2-4 tbs milk 
— pinch of sea salt 

How-to:

To bake:

1. Double-check the defrosting instructions on your puff pastry & preheat your oven to 400˚.
2. Slice your puff pastry into strips approximately 2 inches tall. You’ll bake them in either a pastry ring or ramekin, and want them to be just about the same height.

For me, Apple Tarte Tatin is one of the simplest and most impressive desserts ever! It has always been one of my favourite things to make to eat and share with people at the end of a meal.

Recipe

7-8 Apples- Pink Lady
1/2 Cup Butter
2/3 Cup Sugar
1 Sheet Puff Pastry
1 Egg (for egg wash)

Bake at 400F for 25-30 mins or until the pastry is dark brown. Allow to FULLY COOL on the counter. The apples need time to cool and the caramel to settle back into the apples. Then, place the pot on the stove top on low heat just to loosen the apples back up. Turn it over and serve with Vanilla Ice Cream or Whipped Cream
