Immerse yourself Lac de Derborence and its legend. Swiss author Ramuz used the lake as the scenery for one of his novels, published in 1934. Hidden oasis at 1449 meters in altitude, the lake reveals itself between mountains. Some isolated chalets, a hoard of fir trees and crystal blue waters as the ones on the other side of the world. In the distance, the sweet sound of the cascades, giants feeding the lake and watering the local fauna with it’s freshly melted ice coming from the glacier.
