Bassoon by Adler in Paris circa

1813-1825 French Bassoon in C at the Metropolitan Museum of Art, New York - From the curators' comments: "The instrument has two alternative wing joints for high and low pitch, and a screw to adjust the bocal. The keys and metal parts were designed in 1813 and made by C. H. Felix in Paris, as an inscription states. Felix's design consists only in the decorative aspect of the keys, not in their number and placement."
