Below each side a strip of maeander broken by red cross squares (diagonal); above, a strip of laurel wreath. At lower insertion of each handle, a double palmette. .

Apollo, long sleeved chiton, bordered himation fastened on right shoulder, long hair looped up behind, wreathed with laurel, holding a kithara attached to left hand by a sash; in right hand a phiale dec. with bosses within a wavy line. From the kithara a sash hangs dec. with zigzags, dots,a fringe. Artemis similar dress, hair looped up with a radiated stephane, stands en face, but looks towards Apollo, right hand an oinochoe, left a bow .
