Explore Old Crocks, Stoneware Crocks, and more!

This is a rare 4 gallon William Hart and Company salt glazed stoneware crock/cream jar. This is rare, because “W. HART & CO.” was only from est 1867 to 1870 as William died in November 1869 at age 42. The spelling of “Ogdensburgh” would make this from 1867 to 1868. The village of Ogdensburgh, NY became a city in 1868 and dropped the “h” becoming Ogdensburg.
