FORT EUSTIS, Va. (July 16, 2008) An Army CH-47 helicopter attached to the 159th Aviation Regiment lifts a Naval Special Warfare 11-meter rigid hull inflatable boat (RHIB) during a maritime external air transporation system training exercise. The special warfare combatant-craft crewmen (SWCC) aboard the 11-meter RHIB climb a ladder to the helicopter, which can transport the craft over land or water, further expanding the operational reach of the special boat operators.

Special Warfare Combatant-craft Crewmen (SWCC) instructors prepare to dock two 11-meter rigid-hull inflatable boats at Naval Amphibious Base Coronado after dropping off Basic Crewman Training Candidates into San Diego Bay.  BCT candidates are in a training evolution known as the "Tour" -- a 3day, 2night training session that is the final stage of the 7week BCT program testing the students physically+mentally on what they've learned, and is the final phase of SWCC training.
