Tromotriche longipes. Picture of Tromotriche longipes flowers. The Tromotriche is still a Stapelia, but some botanists prefer to classify it into a separated Tromotriche genus. In fact, the morphological characteristics of the plant and of the flower are very similar stapelias, so it makes more sense to classify it as a Stapelia.

Succulents belonging to Asclepiadaceae family, like Stapelia, are interesting for the complex flowers pollinated mainly by flies and can be found in Namaqualand and Richtersveld desert.
