Takedown: A Thriller (The Scot Harvath Series)

Scot Harvath must endure the burning streets of Manhattan, where he can administer his own form of justice and finally exact his bitter revenge.

Not a bad one in the bunch. Scot Horvath -- kind of like a Jack Bauer character - he does what it takes.

Eve Duncan’s mission in life is to bring closure to the families who have experienced the agony of a missing child. As a forensic sculptor, she is able to piece together bones, create a face, and bring an identity to a child who would have otherwise gone unidentified. Eve is brilliant, driven, and tormented—because her own daughter, Bonnie, was taken from her years ago. -Crystal

Any of the Iris Johansen books, especially from the Eve Duncan story line are good reads. "Eve", "Quinn" and "Bonnie" are the last of the series.

The Book of Fate by Brad Meltzer

I love Brad Meltzer. Not only is he really into history and conspiracies, but he writes a darn good thriller. I recently got Book of Fate .

The book explores a dystopian United States where many of society's most productive citizens refuse to be exploited by increasing taxation and government regulations and disappear

I am far too old to be in to 'Twilight' - I fully admit that. It has that combined affect of enjoyment and guilt similar to eating an entire carton of ice cream by yourself.

Twilight by Stephanie Meyer - No, I did not love this book, nor did I see what all the fuss was about. It was worth reading so I could shake my head at the Twilight-obsessed.
