BYZANTINE BOWL   13th century Colored Sgraffito ware. Orange cream clay. White thin slip covers interior & lip. Shallow curved body, flat horizontal rim. Low pedestal foot. Inside, the pattern is engraved through slip. A triangle on background of alternative stripes of crosshatched & plain segments. Whole composition enclosed by double encircling lines. On rim, a band of five leaves with lines in between. Green splashes on engraved pattern. Yellow glaze on interior & lip.  H 5.6 cm, D 19.1…
