Gold and garnet medieval or byzantine ring. High karat gold ring, the oblong bezel is set with a perforated convex garnet, probably previously used as a pearl. The lower part of the bezel adorned with a limed beaded line. The hoop is flat inside and rounded outside, welded under the bezel.  Byzantine or barbarian art, early medieval, 5th-6th century AD
