tensione di superficie ELISABETA DUPRE-ITALY "Elisabetta Dupré makes use of colour contrasts in her jewellery by utilizing the warm colour of fine gold as opposed to dark, oxidized silver. These are the materials that she mostly enjoys using when making jewellery. The shapes are usually geometrical and quite severe, although she has recently incorporated free forms and white silver into her pieces, breaking up the severity"

Lauren Markley's line of contemporary jewelry made me first think of Bauhaus design, and especially the work of Moholy-Nagy. Each piece is one-of-a-kind and made from recycled sterling silver, various textiles, and wood. The pieces are sculptural and geometric, with interesting shapes making each item more unique than the next.
