When graffiti makes it better

The 11 foot tall bronze Mr. Rogers statue in Pittsburgh (Mr. Rogers’ neighborhood) was yarn bombed recently. The yarn bombing? A zip-up cardigan sweater- the kind he famously wore on his children’s TV show.

Art students at a certain high school (we’ll call it School W), in a quiet New England town, yarn-bombed the campus for the school’s centennial. All but 2 of the 13 students had just learned to knit two weeks prior to their capers!

Someone Crocheted a Giant Sweater for this Mister Rogers Statue | Located near Heinz Field on the North Shore in Pittsburgh, is a large 10 ft bronze sculpture of Pennsylvania native, Mister Fred Rogers. The statue, created by artist Robert Berks, weighs about 4 tons and was dedicated on November 5, 2009.

The sweater crocheted for the Mister Rogers statue. :) // I love this and I'm shocked someone didn't do this sooner.

Cool Collection of Yarn Bombing and Graffiti Knits

Hans Jouta statue of Hotze Schuil, "The Emperor of the Handball Kings," in South Square of Harlingen, Netherlands, yarn-bombed delightedly.

I don't know who made this, but I want to shake their hand.

wonder if they'd mind me doing this on our tree at the caravan park :p

Like every year on National Tree Week I like to do a tree related post. And as it is National Tree Week here in Ireland at the moment, .
