Bamboo sticks on the fingers if a ‘Mud man’ from Papua New Guinea. The Asaro ‘Mud me’n come from just outside the town of Goroka in the Eastern Highlands of Papua New Guinea. The ‘mud men’ cover their bodies with mud which becomes white when it dries. The white colour represents death in the Papouasian culture.
