JOE ADONIS    Birth: Nov. 22, 1902  Montemarano, Italy  Death: Nov. 26, 1971    Organized Crime Figure. He was a close friend of mob boss Lucky Luciano and a member of his Mafia family in both Brooklyn, New York City, New York and New Jersey. He was deported to Italy in 1956 and died there of natural causes.

Obit - Joe Adonis - While working on the streets, Joe became friends with future mob boss Charles "Lucky" Luciano and mobster Settimo Accardi, who were involved in illegal gambling. He developed a loyalty to Luciano that would last for decades.
