Coral was popular throughout the nineteenth century partially because Victorians held on to the belief that coral had curative and protective powers. Italy was the primary source for coral at that time. Tiny coral points dangle from domed coral clusters. The 14KT gold post backs are clearly a conversion. Size: 1 1/8" long, 1/2" wide, 1/4" deep.
