Citizen Kane - Orson Welles The movie that made me love movies as an art, and not simply entertainment; the one that made me realize that film is more than putting a camera in front of actors. Great story that plays off William Randolf Hurst and Welles' own past. The man who seems to get everything he wants and its never enough. Also a good use of flashbacks all the way through - innovative storytelling for the time, 1941. A must see for anyone serious about film.
