In this post, I want to show you some of the math pennants I've made over the years for topics covered in early elementary school right through to high school math. To date, I've made over 100 math pennants, so they are not all in this post. But I picked out some of my favorites to show you. More at scaffoldedmath.com

Math pennants are a fun way to show off student work as part of your classroom decor.

Ms. Deculus sent this photo of her students' comparing fraction size math pennants hanging over her desk.

Students compare the sizes of fractions with like and unlike denominators in this math pennant activity that doubles as colorful classroom décor. Half of the pennants have fractions with like denominators and half have fractions with unlike denominators.

This post is a holiday celebration of teachers' creativity. I would have never thought to make Christmas trees out of math pennants! But you all did and these photos all blew me away. The effort, the colors, the care that went into creating the displays, everything. I am so thankful that teachers like you are in the classroom.

This Christmas math activity has students finding the area and perimeter of shapes with lots of places to color! The final Christmas ornaments make a festive holiday classroom decor. Students can further decorate their ornaments with bows and holly.

Let's embrace winter time!
