This is a photo of a meteorite found in Mars. This meteorite, specifically an iron meteorite was found by NASA’s Mars Exploration Rover Opportunity. This is the first meteorite of any type found in another planet.
The rarest of all meteorites is from Mars. The rock was ejected from Mars by an impact of a meteor or comet, and eventually fell to earth. There are only 120 known specimens. This meteorite is Chassignite.
