I'm Julien Knez from Paris (France). I found photos of Paris taken between 1871 and and then photographed the same site from the same angle. Here are some pictures from my new book Paris, Fenêtres sur l'Histoire, published by Parigramme.
PHOTOS. Il réunit le Paris de 1900 et celui d'aujourd’hui
Quai des Grands-Augustins, January The Great Flood of Paris inundated the Quai des Grands-Augustins, navigated here by boat. The ground floors of buildings filled with water, and outdoor ladders were used to access the upper floors of buildings.
Parisian photographer Julien Knez is a creative genius in combining the old and the new. He's taken photos of Paris between 1871 and 1968 and inserted photos from the present day, creating a fascinating shot that combines the past and the present.
