While many of his contemporaries moved to the United States and elsewhere in Europe, Muller-Brockmann based himself in Zurich and established his reputation there. josef müller-brockmann (1914-1996) is well known for the beautiful posters he designed for concert and theatre events in zürich. müller-brockmann's studio was also responsible for the programme brochures of these events (see also book story 181) .
